Northcote Primary School - Roofing

Puddlefish Platt Ltd completed a major roofing project at Northcote Primary School, replacing more than 70% of the school’s roofing across two separate programmes of work.
The project involved the full demolition and removal of existing roof coverings and gutters, along with the temporary decommissioning of air conditioning units to allow the roofing works to be completed safely and efficiently.
Once the existing roofing was removed, substrate repairs were carried out to address areas of water damage and ensure a sound base for the new roofing system. New roofing was then installed, along with new gutters and downpipes to improve weather protection, drainage performance, and long-term durability across the upgraded buildings.
Delivered within a tight timeframe, the works required careful planning, sequencing, and coordination to manage access, safety, subcontractors, and site conditions. Despite the scale and complexity of the project, Puddlefish Platt completed the works on budget.
The completed project significantly improved the performance and resilience of the school’s roofing infrastructure, providing long-term protection and supporting a safer, drier, and more reliable learning environment for students and staff.
