Northcote Primary School - Sports Field Drainage, Irrigation & Bracing Work

Puddlefish Platt Ltd completed a full-scale sports field drainage, irrigation, and hard landscaping project at Northcote Primary School, delivered in conjunction with lower field perimeter trenching works.
The project involved environmental evaluation, drainage and hydrology planning, civil works, trenching, installation works, and final remedial activities. The drainage and irrigation upgrades were designed to improve field performance, manage water more effectively, and support long-term use and maintenance of the school’s outdoor sports areas.
The works required careful planning and coordination to manage site access, ground conditions, sequencing, and safety within a school environment. The completed project provided Northcote Primary School with a more robust, functional, and sustainable field infrastructure capable of performing across varying weather conditions.
As part of the wider project, Puddlefish Platt also completed remedial and extended bracing works to four tall buildings on the site. This involved assessing existing structural conditions, coordinating design solutions, and carrying out bracing upgrades with care and precision.
All works were completed in a live school environment, with a focus on minimising disruption while improving the performance, safety, and resilience of the school’s buildings and outdoor facilities.
