Murrays Bay School Roofing and ACM Removal

Puddlefish Platt Ltd completed a major re-roofing and remediation project at Murrays Bay School, involving multiple roof areas and associated building envelope upgrades across the school.
The works included Class A asbestos-containing material removal, removal and replacement of existing roofing systems, new Colorsteel roofing, Viking Silcoat membrane and insulation systems, Clearlite roofing elements, gutters, downpipes, flashings, canopy works, cladding upgrades, and services coordination.
The programme was carefully staged around school operations. The asbestos removal and most disruptive works were completed during the school holiday period, while easier and lower-impact areas were completed during term time with appropriate site controls in place.
Puddlefish Platt acted as Head Contractor, PCBU, Contract Manager, and Project Manager, managing subcontractors, health and safety, sequencing, quality assurance, and communication with the school and wider project team.
The works were delivered to Ministry of Education standards, with a strong focus on safe site management, weathertightness, durability, and minimising disruption to the school community.
The completed project provided Murrays Bay School with upgraded, compliant, and long-lasting roofing and building envelope systems across key areas of the campus.
