Long Bay College - Roofing Remediation Project

Puddlefish Platt Ltd undertook a comprehensive roofing remediation project at Long Bay College to address weatherproofing failures and extend the longevity of key buildings on campus.
Works on Block 1 included the removal of seven skylights, followed by framing the voids, installing flashing, and completing internal ceiling restoration through gibbing and painting. To resolve ongoing issues with the existing roof membrane, a mechanically fixed two-layer torch-on membrane was installed over the failing surface.
On Block 2, deteriorating internal gutters were treated with a high-performance liquid membrane to ensure long-term waterproofing and structural reliability.
This project significantly improved the weather resistance and structural integrity of the roofing system, safeguarding school facilities for years to come.
