Greenhithe School Weathertightness , Remediation and Refurbishment

Puddlefish Platt Ltd completed a major weathertightness, remediation, and refurbishment project at Greenhithe School, involving extensive demolition, structural repair, roof replacement, and full internal upgrades.
The project required the removal and replacement of existing cladding, significant remediation and replacement of structural timber, and the installation of new insulation and GIB linings. The works also included the repiling of 35 new piles and the complete rebuild of the roof substrate, followed by the installation of new roofing and gutters.

Internally, the building was fully refurbished to provide improved facilities for students and staff. This included new toilets, carpet, LED lighting, Autex acoustic linings, HVAC systems, and full internal painting.
The works were delivered on an active school site, requiring careful planning, site management, health and safety controls, and coordination to minimise disruption to the school community while upgrading the building to a safer, warmer, and more functional learning environment.
