Marshall Laing School - Staff & Student Toilets

Puddlefish Platt completed a full refurbishment of four sets of boys’ and girls’ student toilets, along with a dedicated staff restroom, delivering a modern, durable, and functional upgrade to essential school facilities.
The project involved the complete strip-out and replacement of existing fixtures, fittings, and finishes. Outdated toilet partitions were removed and replaced, while new sanitary fixtures, sinks, and plumbing fittings were installed to improve usability, hygiene, and water efficiency.
The works also included the installation of new roofing systems, durable easy-clean flooring suitable for high-traffic school use, and custom joinery designed to maximise functionality, hygiene, and ease of maintenance. The upgraded spaces were finished to provide a cleaner, brighter, and more practical environment for students and staff.

As part of the project, Puddlefish Platt also carried out the safe and compliant removal of exterior asbestos-containing materials. These works were carefully managed to protect the health and safety of students, staff, contractors, and other building users.
Delivered within an active school environment, the project required careful planning, sequencing, and coordination to maintain safety and minimise disruption to daily school operations.
Following the successful completion of this refurbishment, Puddlefish Platt has maintained a strong working relationship with the school and has gone on to deliver a number of additional refurbishment and improvement projects across the school site.
